An Offer You Cannot Afford To Refuse

Dear Neighbour,

This equation is what makes Good Friday good.  If it looks simple, it is.  God has made salvation in Jesus Christ so easy for us…

In order for a person to be forgiven of their sins they only need to come to the Cross of Calvary where Jesus died.  Look on the gruesome death of a sinless Man between two guilty men and begin to understand that Jesus became your personal sacrifice.  Jesus took the penalty of death for your sins SO THAT you would never have to pay for your own sins.  If you went to a prison and told a prisoner that you are willing to take his place and set him free – would anyone refuse?  And yet MANY refuse the offer Jesus is making to you today.

God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness,

we lie and do not practice the truth.

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light,

we have fellowship with one another,

and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,

and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar,

and His word is not in us.

(1 John 1:55-10)

What will you do with His offer to you today? There is only one correct response…

Lord Jesus, it is an offer I cannot refuse.  I knew that you were crucified but until today I never knew that You suffered and died on my behalf. I acknowledge my sin and ask for Your forgiveness.  Thank you for shedding Your blood to pay for my sins and to make me righteous before God. You have made Good Friday a good day for me.  You experienced the worst day of your life with suffering I cannot comprehend and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Thank you for loving me and waiting for me to respond to your love.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Easter Blessings! x Libby
