Gospel Maths

Dear Neighbour,

God is for you.  His heart is to give you every perfect gift through His Son, Jesus.  The only thing God wants to take from you is your sin – that which blocks His blessing in your life. I had great fun putting together what I call GOSPEL MATHS to help you appreciate God’s extravagant love and His intense desire for you to gain from a relationship with Him…

God divided the light from the darkness (Genesis 1:4) He blessed Adam and Eve and said, “Be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28) and promised Abraham to multiply his descendants as the stars of heaven (Genesis 26:4) In the Old Testament it was not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins (Hebrews 10:4) In the New Testament John saw Jesus and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29) Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments (Matthew 27:35) Jesus was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin (1 John 3:5) Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33)For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? (Luke 9:25) Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. (Proverbs 11:4)For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it(Hebrews 4:2)Jesus said, “Take away the stone (of unbelief)” (John 11:39) for the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved (Luke 8:12) “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go (Isaiah 48:17) I am the Lord your God, who divided the sea (Isaiah 51:15) For by Me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you (Proverbs 9:11)For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he may gain much, if God takes away his life? (Job 27:8) So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its owners (Proverbs 1:19) I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him (Ecclesiastes 3:14) what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ (Philippians 3:7) He must increase, but I must decrease (John 3:30)For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21)

I drew up a balance sheet of my life and found it a very interesting exercise.  Try it for yourself.  Compare what you have lost in this life with what you have gained.  With God you simply cannot lose!
